BBMP suspends five officials for caste survey lapses

Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has suspended five officials for failing to make progress on the survey of Scheduled Castes.

The BBMP had entrusted the responsibility of conducting a house-to-house survey to these officials. They were expected to record data daily using a mobile application.

However, the said officials have failed to make any progress on the survey and this amounts to dereliction of duty, the BBMP said.
