Fire breaks out in fridge, burns down kitchen in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A fire broke out in a refrigerator at a house in east Bengaluru’s Kadugodi and swept through the kitchen, destroying all the appliances and vessels. No casualties were reported.

The incident was reported at the house in VSR Reddy Layout, Kadugodi, around 1 pm on Monday. Fire tenders were pressed into service, which doused the blaze within an hour. 

According to the police, the fire originated from inside the refrigerator, bought second-hand. The police have collected samples from the site to help them identify the reason behind the fire.
