For example, the proposed names could include Bengaluru South City Corporation, Bengaluru East City Corporation, etc. </p>.<p>The GBA is expected to be a powerful administrative body overseeing the governance and development activities in the Greater Bengaluru area, which may include at least 25 developed panchayats surrounding the city.</p>.<p>In all likelihood, the government may constitute a committee to finalise the territorial boundaries, which also includes taking inputs from MLAs representing Bengaluru and nearby regions. </p>.<p>BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath confirmed the timeline, stating, "The government will constitute the Greater Bengaluru Authority within the stipulated 120 days. By that time, we will also arrive at a decision regarding the number of corporations and their boundaries." </p>
