Miscreants pelt stone at actor Darshan's house

Miscreants pelted a stone at Sandalwood movie star Darshan Thoogudeep's house in Rajarajeshwarinagar in west Bengaluru on the intervening night of March 22 and 23. The incident is said to have happened around 1 am in the wee hours when a domestic help working at the Challenging star's house, Srinivas woke up and checked.

He told the police that someone hurled a stone that hit a window. By the time, he rushed outside to look who was that, but by then miscreants had sped away. There were no cars at the house, else the vehicles could have been damaged, Srinivas told the police. Darshan's house is situated at the Ideal Homes HBCS Layout in Javarandoddi near the SSNMC Super Specialty Hospital.

This incident comes at a time when Darshan has lent his support to Sumalatha Ambareesh who is contesting for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mandya and JDS leaders in the district are up-in-arms against Darshan and had even publicly chided him recently after they found film stars Darshan and Yash had taken a month off from their film shoots and will be campaigning for Sumalatha.

Senior police officer at the rank of Superintendent of Police visited Darshan's house on Saturday and took stock of the situation. However, no police case has been registered.
