The North-East division police claimed to have cracked a murder case in Bagalur with the arrest of three persons. The main accused is still absconding and a manhunt has been launched to nab him.

Ganga Chandrashekar, 38, was found dead in a trench at Hoovunayakanahalli, Bagalur on January 4. Preliminary investigations pointed fingers at her live-in partner Harish, a rowdysheeter.

The Bagalur police have arrested three of his accomplices, Shyam, Veeresh and Bharath, all 19  and from Tumkur.

Investigations revealed that Harish and the trio had strangled Ganga to death at the former’s room in Tumkur and then dumped the body in a trench at Hoovunayakanahalli.
Harish and Ganga had developed differences and the latter had lodged an SC/ST atrocity case against Harish in  Tumkur and Bagalur. He was arrested and Ganga had helped him secure bail.
