<p>The Dr BR Ambedkar stadiums in ward numbers 106 and 105 of Govindaraj Nagar and Basaveshwaranagar are gearing up to have national-level amenities for the benefit of citizens and sportspersons.</p>.<p>State Housing Department Minister V Somanna along with BBMP officials inspected the ongoing work at the stadiums on Thursday.</p>.<p>Somanna instructed the BBMP officials to take suggestions from the public on how to develop the stadiums further.</p>.<p>The stadium situated at the Dr Rajkumar ward in Govindaraj Nagar is touted to be developed at a cost of Rs 18 crore. </p>.<p>The BBMP said the stadiums will have a gym, yoga centres, basketball, skating and badminton courts, and running tracks for joggers and athletes, and is expected to have a capacity to accommodate 500-600 people.</p>.<p>The stadiums will also have national-level swimming pools for the benefit of swimmers and fitness enthusiasts.</p>.<p>The works are expected to be completed soon and the public can access the facilities in the next five to six months, the minister said. </p>
