The first ‘National Women Entrepreneurship Conclave’ in Waste Management, WeCon 2018, was launched on Monday. The meet is being attended by hundreds of aspiring women entrepreneurs.

The conclave is a platform for participants to develop new and innovative ideas, as well as to avail opportunities to become successful
entrepreneurs in waste management.

Women entrepreneurs from engineering and MBS will engage rural women and urban poor in their entrepreneurship funded by the Government of India.

Hence, the direct beneficiaries of this project are expected to be around 15,000 to 20,000 women across the
country.

The large-scale project is expected to create an impact on women empowerment and better waste management in the country.
