<p class="title">The BJP intends to revive its “Operation Kamala” (of pouching MLAs) in a day or two.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The saffron party, which for a week had tried to cash in on the disgruntlement among a section of MLAs in the Congress camp, had put its plan on hold following the demise of Siddaganga Mutt seer Shivakumara Swami.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Top leaders including B S Yeddyurappa, Shobha Karandlaje, Jagadish Shettar, among others, instrumental in executing its plan, attended the seer’s funeral at Tumakuru on Tuesday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The party is planning to get at least seven disgruntled Congress legislators to the Governor stating that they have no confidence in the H D Kumaraswamy-led coalition government and seek a floor test in the Assembly thereafter.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The party is already in touch with four legislators – Umesh Jadhav, Ramesh Jarkiholi, B Nagendra, Mahesh Kumtalli - who kept away from the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting last week.</p>.<p class="bodytext">A senior leader is learnt to have called Hospet (Vijayanagara) MLA Anand Singh, who is undergoing treatment at a hospital after being attacked by fellow legislator J N Ganesh, and enquired about his health.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The pitch given is that Singh jump ship to the BJP as he was not getting support in the party despite the violent attack on him.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The plan is to get seven Congress MLAs to cross-vote during a floor test against the coalition government and thereby reduce it to a minority.</p>
