Cable car at Bharachukki waterfalls

Minister for Tourism Sa Ra Mahesh on Tuesday informed that a cable car facility will be introduced at Bharachukki Falls in Kollegal taluk, Chamarajanagar district, at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

Speaking to reporters here, Mahesh said, a detailed project report has been prepared in this regard to attract tourists throughout the year to the falls.

The government will also renovate the Wellesley Bridge in Kolegal, which was washed away in rain. He reiterated that KRS will be developed on the lines of Disneyland.

“There are 500 acres of land in KRS village. Only 100 acres have been used.

“A huge park will be developed and Cauvery statue will installed in the remaining land,” he added.
