Hockey player Ramu passes away

State hockey team former captain and Canara Bank officer V V Ramu passed away following a brief illness on Tuesday. He was 47.

Following illness, he was admitted to a hospital in Hassan a few days ago. He is survived by his mother, wife, two daughters and a brother.

He was a good hockey player right from the beginning and was trained at Koodige Sports School. He had played for Somwarpet Blue Star Hockey Club. Later, he joined Canara Bank hockey team. He had represented Karnatata state hockey team for 10 years.
