<p>Bantwal: Body of a CMC member from Puttur was found in Nethravathi river in Panemangaluru near Bantwal on Thursday.</p><p>The deceased is identified as Ramesh Rai Nellikatte, a BJP member of City Municipal Council, Puttur, the police said.</p><p>A motorbike, mobile phone, a shirt and sandals were found near the Panemangaluru old bridge in the morning.</p>.<p>Local diving experts and fire and emergency service personnel conducted a search operation and recovered the body.</p><p>Ramesh Rai had recently won during the bi-election held towards the vacant seat of Puttur CMC.</p><p>BJP leaders Sanjiv Mathandoor and Arun Kumar Puttila visited the spot.</p>
