<p class="title">Upset over being denied a ministerial berth, veteran Congress leader Shamanur Shivashankarappa expressed his anguish saying that only the loyalists of Coalition Coordination Committee chairman Siddaramaiah and AICC state in-charge K C Venugopal were inducted into Kumaraswamy’s<br />ministry.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Shivashankarappa said, “In today’s political scenario only sycophants can thrive. The leaders want them around. Ramalinga Reddy, B C Patil and I, failed to make the cut because we don’t do it. Hence,<br />we are ignored.”</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Suggestion</p>.<p class="bodytext">To a query whether the legislators, who missed the bus, have approached him, Shivashankarappa said, “No one has approached me. If asked, I will suggest the disappointed legislators hold a meeting and discuss their next<br />move.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">“If Lingayats are neglected, Siddaramaiah will meet the same fate he had met at Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency. He was humiliated at his home turf, where he lost by a margin of 60,000 votes.
