<p>Mysuru: In the case of 'missing' woman Mallige, who was presumed to be murdered, was permitted by the fifth Additional District Sessions Judge of Mysuru to go to her village with Ganesha (said to be her second husband) as per her request. </p><p>Advocate B S Pandu Poojari who is appearing for Suresh informed this. </p><p>He said that the Judge permitted her to go to her village Shakthigere in Virajpet taluk with the condition that she should appear on all hearing dates. </p><p>They directed Bailkuppe police to collect Mallige's address and mobile number to secure her whenever required. The statement of Mallige was recorded by Mysore district police at the State home on April 7. Both prosecution and defence advocates recorded the evidence of Mallige as a court witness on Wednesday. </p><p>Jenukuruba tribe Suresh from Basavanahalli tribal settlement near Kushalnagar spent two year and four months in Mysuru Central Prison in the case. </p><p>Mallige, wife of Suresh went missing on October 20, 2020. A missing complaint was registered in Kushalnagar police station. </p><p>Meanwhile, Bettadapura police of Periyaptna taluk found a skeleton of a woman and asked Suresh to identify the belongings of the unknown body. After taking signature from Mallige's mother Gowri and son that the belongings on deceased skeleton were that of Mallige and based on complaint by Mallige's son, the Bettadapura police filed FIR against Suresh under section 302 and 201 of IPC on May 12 2021. He was in jail until he got bail from high court in September 2023. </p><p>On April 1, Mallige was found with Ganesh at a hotel in Madikeri. She was produced before the court on April 3 and was housed in State home for women in Mysuru since then.</p><p>Meanwhile, as per the direction of court, Mysuru district police are probing on the alleged lapses in the investigation by Bettadapura police. They are directed to submit the report to court on April 17. </p>
