'Traumatised and shocked': MP R Sudha's gold chain snatched in Delhi while on morning walk

Mayiladuthurai MP R Sudha became prey to a chain snatching incident, during her morning walk in the diplomatic enclave of Chanakyapuri, in Delhi. The assailants are yet to be identified by officials.

The MP was staying at the Tamil Nadu Bhavan, and the snatching took place during her routine morning walk, where the assailants snatched her gold chain and fled immediately after.

"A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Multiple police teams have been deployed to trace the accused and examine CCTV footage from the vicinity," a senior police officer informed, while interrogating eyewitnesses and enhancing surveillance and security around the area of Tamil Nadu Bhavan.

The Congress MP has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that her gold chain was snatched and she suffered injuries in the incident this morning near Poland Embassy in Chanakyapuri area.

She urged the Home Minister to direct the authorities to track down and arrest the culprit.
