<p>The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday issued notices to the Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly while hearing a petition filed by S Murthy, the suspended secretary of Karnataka Legislative Assembly.</p>.<p>The Advocate General received the notice on behalf of the Speaker.</p>.<p>The Legislative Assembly has taken disciplinary action by suspending Murthy in December 2018, on the charge of committing irregularities.</p>.<p>Murthy had challenged the suspension order.</p>.<p>He was under the scanner after Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar ordered a probe into irregularities in procuring services during the 2017 Belagavi session.</p>.<p>The departmental enquiry had found Murthy guilty, following which his powers were curtailed. It was alleged that Murthy misappropriated funds.</p>
