Pejawar Mutt seer Vishweshateertha Swami on Tuesday urged Muslims to support construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya and thereby herald a new era of harmony.
Addressing the gathering at an event to mark Chidambareshwar Jayanti at Sudi near here, Pejawar seer said, “Ram Mandir at Ayodhya is a long-standing demand of Hindus. Despite many struggles over the years, the temple at Ayodhya has remained a dream. It should not become an election issue. The Narendra Modi-led Union government should promulgate an ordinance to facilitate an early construction of Ram Mandir.”
“Construction of Ram Temple will not cause any harm to Muslims. If the Muslims support construction of temple at Ram Janmabhoomi, it will usher in a new era of communal harmony and brotherhood,” the seer said.
