<p>Bengaluru: Former minister M P Renukacharya on Friday reiterated that he never violated BJP’s any discipline code.</p>.<p>Renukacharya said whenever he spoke it was only to defend the party as well as the party leaders’ dignity, which was questioned by a section of the party leaders.</p>.<p>He is one among five leaders against whom the BJP’s central disciplinary committee has issued show-cause notice demanding explanation for violating party discipline.</p>.<p>Speaking to reporters, Renukacharya said: “I have submitted my reply well within the 72-hour deadline. I would like to clarify here that I have raised my voice only when “some” in our party started criticising our veteran leader B S Yediyurappa. For the past four years, one leader has accused of Rs 2,000 crore bribe for the CM post, which was nothing but a malafide campaign against our party leaders. Therefore, I had to defend the party and its leaders, which inevitably put me at odds with others.”</p>.<p>He asserted that though his actions and statements were intended to prevent those making statements against the party and its leaders, he had not made a single statement against anyone in the party or raised the questions about party Central leaders’ decision-making process.</p>
