The students, parents and the public are inconvenienced without Aadhaar service centres in Mudigere.

Children who have availed Aadhaar should renew it once in five years. In case it is not renewed, then Aadhaar is not accepted to avail benefits under any of the welfare schemes.

There are no service centres for renewal of Aadhaar except the one set up at the SBI branch in Mudigere.

The SBI branch provides its services for only 20 people in a day. As a result, the public have to collect the tokens for Aadhaar application and renewal three months in advance. Aadhaar service centres should be set up in Nadakacheri and Gram Panchayats said members of the public.

The scholarships of the schoolchildren have been sanctioned. As their Aadhaar card is not renewed, they are unable to collect the amount, complained schoolchildren.

The people are struggling to make corrections in name, address, and phone number in the Aadhaar card.

Sundar, a resident said, “I had registered for correction in my Aadhaar three months ago and they had asked me to come on Monday. Now, the authorities are claiming that the server is busy. I had already run from pillar to post four days in the past. Whom should we air our grievances to?” he asked.

Another resident Paramesh said, “Aadhaar number is sought for all the welfare schemes of the government. We are not able to make corrections in Aadhaar.”
