‘Shobha Karandlaje’s achievement is nil in 5 yrs’

JD(S)- Congress candidate from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency Pramod Madhwaraj said that sitting MP Shobha Karandlaje (BJP) is visible in the constituency only during the election.

“As an MLA, I had responded to the woes of the poor in Udupi. I understand the woes of the poor,” he has claimed.

Speaking at JD(S)-Congress workers’ meeting at Kurubakeri Circle at Sringeri on Monday, he charged, “BJP claims that they revere Gaumatha. Unfortunately, they do not rear cows at home. I am rearing 25 cows in my house. The people have understood the dual policy followed by the BJP. Achievement of sitting MP Shobha Karandlaje is nil in the last five years. She does not have any moral right to seek a vote. It is a tragedy that she is seeking votes in the name of Modi. She should go to Varanasi to seek votes in the name of Modi”.

He said “Congress’ minimum income scheme, Nyuntam Aay Yojana (NYAY) has promised Rs 6,000 per month for the poor. Shobha Karandlaje has mentioned the address of Bengaluru in her affidavit. If elected, I will take a house on rent in Chikkamagaluru and I will respond to the woes of the people”.

MLA T D Raje Gowda said, “The coalition government in Karnataka is working for the welfare of farmers and the common man. I have knowledge on the burning issues in Malnad and I will work towards solving the issues.”
