He alleged that the trade laws are being flouted across the nation and it is high time the labourers in unorganised sectors be brought under Sandhya Suraksha Yojane. The contract system has entered government departments too and it has been depriving the employees of job security. The strike aims at sending a strong message to the government demanding stringent action against the violation of trade laws and national fund for labourers in unorganised sector among other demands.<br /><br />Trade unions like INTUC, AITUC, HMS, Central and State Government employees, Insurance, Banks, BSNL, Railway and other similar organisations have extended their support to the strike. The aim behind the programme was to create awareness among the public in the wake of growing crime rate. Parthasarathi said that the documentary will focus on different types of modus operandi adopted by chain snatchers, how they divert attention, strike up a conversation with women, conning them in the name of cops and also under the pretext of polishing gold valuables. The documentary will be shot from September 4, he added.<br /><br />Replying to a query, Maruthi said that the plans are on the anvil to hand over the documentary to the police department.<br /></p>
