Veteran Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary on Monday vowed not to visit Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple, Ullal Dargah and churches if Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate Mithun Rai failed to win the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.

He was speaking at Congress workers’ convention, organised ahead of Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate Mithun Rai filing nominations, at Town Hall.

Poojary blessed Rai for his victory on the occasion.

He said, “It is a blissful day for Dr Mahabala Rai, father of Mithun Rai. Last night when I was sleeping, I felt someone was hitting on my chest. It was presiding deity of Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple who told me that Mithun Rai will win. I have already told this at the temple and need not lie. It was the idol that was installed by Brahmasri Narayana Guru,” said Poojary.

It may be recalled that Poojary on Sunday had batted for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development works in the country and had predicted his victory for next two terms.

Speaking after blessing BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel, at Kudroli Temple, he had claimed that favourable condition prevails for BJP in the country.
