Bomb threat to Nagpur hotel via mail; nothing suspicious found, say cops

'A detailed search has been conducted by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and we have not found anything suspicious,' Nagpur Police DCP, Rahul Maknikar said.

Hotel Dwarkamai in the Ganeshpeth Colony area of Nagpur received a bomb threat mail on Monday, leading to a thorough search of the area by a bomb squad. Nothing suspicious was found, news agency ANI reported.

"A bomb threat mail was received at Hotel Dwarkamai in the Ganeshpeth Colony area of Nagpur. Police immediately reached the spot and we evacuated all the inmates. A detailed search has been conducted by the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and we have not found anything suspicious. Further investigation is underway," Nagpur Police DCP, Rahul Maknikar told ANI.

This comes after at least 40 schools in the national capital received bomb threats demanding $30,000 on Monday morning.
