<p>Pakistan Rangers on Tuesday resorted to unprovoked firing at Border Security Force (BSF) positions on the international border in Samba district of Jammu region.<br /><br /></p>.<p>"Pakistan Rangers started firing in Chalari and Ghugwal areas of the border in Samba district at 3.50 a.m. on Tuesday targeting nine BSF border outposts," a senior police official told IANS.<br /><br />"They used small arms and automatics to target the positions. The firing was effectively retaliated using same calibre weapons."<br /><br />Pakistan's targeting of Indian positions in Jammu and Kashmir has come a day after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif pledged continued support to the separatist movement against India in Kashmir.<br /><br />Sharif said this in a letter addressed to Asiya Andrabi, chief of Dukhtaran-e-Milat (Daughters of Faith).<br /></p>
