<p>Hyderabad: A family of four was found dead in their home in Habsiguda, Hyderabad, in what police suspect to be a case of murder-suicide triggered by financial difficulties.</p><p>The deceased have been identified as Kotha Chandrashekhar Reddy (40), his wife Kavita (35), and their two children—Srita Reddy (15) and Vishwant Reddy (10). We have registered the case as suspicious deaths and our investigation is going on,” said CI K Rajendar of the OU Police Station on Tuesday.</p><p>According to police, the tragedy was discovered on Monday night when Chandrashekhar's elder brother, Upendra Reddy, went to check on the family after they failed to respond to phone calls. After breaking open the door, he found the family members dead and immediately alerted police.</p><p>A suicide note recovered from the scene, purportedly written by Chandrashekhar, cited financial problems as the reason behind the extreme step. Chandrashekhar had reportedly asked his family members for Rs 5 lakh, which they had agreed to provide. However, Kavita had not disclosed their financial difficulties to her family.</p><p>“There were no disputes between the husband and wife. The suicide note clearly mentioned financial problems as the reason,” CI Rajendar added.</p><p>Police have recorded statements from both families and are awaiting the postmortem report to proceed with further investigation. They are also collecting technical evidence to understand the full circumstances that led to this tragedy.</p>
