<p>In a recent meeting with Posco officials, the Odisha government had asked the South Korean company to begin construction works on the 2,000 acres of land acquired for the project by the Jagatsinghpur district administration. <br /><br />Construction works will be possible only after the coastal road is made available to them, prompting the district administration to expedite the road project.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Abhay Sahu, leader of Posco Pratirodh Sangram Samiti, an anti-Posco outfit, has been taken into custody in connection with some old cases pending against him.<br /><br />The police had even staged a flag march in the area on Saturday. However, such manoeuvres have seemingly impacted the locals and PPSS activists the least.</p>
