A Congress spokesperson in a statement alleged that NC candidate Hasnain Masoodi and PDP youth leader Waheed Parra indulged in bogus voting, besides bringing in mobile voters in vehicles from a different location.
“We appeal the Election Commission for repolling at booth No, 4,5,6,7,8 at Khrew in Pampore Assembly segment and at booth No 113 at Niara in Rajpora Assembly constituency, as the NC candidate and his son Yawar Masoodi indulged in fighting with Congress leader. They snatched his mobile and threatened of consequences,” he claimed.
The spokesperson also alleged that PDP’s Waheed Parra, had captured booth No 113 at Naira, Rajpora since morning and “used muscle power to overthrow polling agents of Congress, besides his close associates beat Congress worker ruthlessly, leaving him grievously injured.”
“Congress party seeks repolling on these booths and emphasize the Chief Electoral Officer of J&K and concerned returning officer to order repoll to ensure free and fair elections. The matter has already been reported to concerned returning officer, for immediate necessary action,” he added.
