<p>Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced that the ongoing lockdown in the national capital will be extended by one more week amid Covid-19 cases showing no signs of declining.</p>.<p>The announcement of the extension came through a tweet by Kejriwal in the evening. "Lockdown in Delhi is being extended by one week," Kejriwal said.</p>.<p>The lockdown, otherwise, was to conclude at 5 AM on May 3. The national capital has been on lockdown since midnight of April 19. </p>.<p>This is the second extension after Kejriwal last Sunday announced extension till May 3.</p>.<p>The capital has witnessed an unprecedented increase in Covid-19 cases in April, which the Chief Minister described as the fourth wave in the capital. The capital has been witnessing over 350 deaths in the past few days while the daily positive cases have been recorded above 25,000 cases.</p>.<p>On Friday, there were 27,047 cases while the number of deaths was 375. The positivity rate was recorded at 32.69%.</p>
