<p>The Rajasthan government on Sunday imposed stricter measures to check the spread of coronavirus, ordering night curfew in eight cities and making a Covid-19 negative report mandatory for anyone visiting the state.</p>.<p>Gehlot said it has also been decided that travellers coming to Rajasthan from other states will have to carry RT-PCR negative reports, not older than 72 hours, from March 25, officials said.</p>.<p>Earlier, the production of RT-PCR negative reports was mandatory for travelers from Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.</p>.<p>“Now, this has been made mandatory for travelers from all the states. Travelers will also be examined at airports, railway stations and bus stands,” he said.</p>.<p><strong>Read: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/state/top-karnataka-stories/karnatakas-second-wave-of-covid-19-has-begun-sudhakar-964647.html">Karnataka's second wave of Covid-19 has begun, says Health Minister</a></strong></p>.<p>The fresh measures were announced after Gehlot had consultations with leaders of political parties and religious organisations, representatives of NGOs, and health experts on the emerging Covid-19 situation on Friday.</p>.<p>Gehlot said night curfew will be imposed in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Sagwara (Dungarpur) and Kushalgarh (Banswara) from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am, beginning Monday.</p>.<p>The chief minister said markets in urban local bodies will be shut down at 10:00 pm as part of measures to protect the lives and livelihood of the people of the state in view of the second wave of Covid-19.</p>.<p>On Saturday, Rajasthan had reported 445 new cases of Covid-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,24,948.</p>
