Richa Jogi likely to join BSP

Richa Jogi, wife of Marwahi MLA Amit Jogi and daughter-in-law of Ajit Jogi, the Chief Minister candidate of JCC(J)-BSP-CPI alliance in Chhattisgarh, is likely to join the Bahujan Samaj Party.

According to political grapevine, the official declaration of according her primary membership of BSP and seat allocation for contesting the upcoming Assembly election are awaited.

As per Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) party insiders, Richa Jogi became a primary member of BSP late Thursday night.

Out of six candidates declared by BSP, two are from JCC(J), it is said.

After the tri-party alliance, some seats held by JCC(J) have gone to the BSP kitty and so have the candidates. Geetanjali Patel, JCC (J) candidate from Chandrapur, is reported to have joined BSP as the seat has gone to BSP.

In Ajit Jogi's family, if Richa is fielded by BSP, Ajit Jogi and son Amit Jogi will be in the fray from JCC(J), while the senior Jogi's wife, Dr Renu Jogi, will fight the election from Congress - a tripartite fight from a single family.
