The ladies wing of the Ramdas Athawale-led Republican Party of India (RPI) has demanded that the condom brand that actress Sunny Leone  endorses should be withdrawn immediately as these is against the dignity of women.

"The advertising campaign objectifying the feminine gender, was proving embarrassing to women. A different message is conveyed on account of this. This is a very ugly scene - a daughter, mother, sister cannot watch the TV or news channel with family members. We have received complaints about this from many women. We, hereby, kindly request you to remove these ads immediately," said Sheela Gangurde of the RPI-Athawale women's wing.

"We demand ban in the wake of numerous complaints received by the us against "undesired" content in commercials for contraceptives," she said in a statement.

"The shabby, ugly or immoral way the actress seduces or sexually provokes a man in the advertisement to use condoms is nothing but serving immorality and bad practice to the audience of the country which is not acceptable in a country of moral values, ethics, religious values and spiritualism renowned as abode of gods around the globe," she said urging the Minister for Information for Broadcasting said.
