Recruitment rally for Indian army in Mysore

Indian army is organising a mega recruitment rally for various posts at Chamundi Vihar stadium in Mysore from May 3 to 6. Recruitment will be held for technical and paramedical posts on May 3.

Those applying for these posts should have passed PUC with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and 40 per cent in all the subjects. They should have studied maths, accounts, book keeping and related subjects in PUC and should be aged between 17 and 23 years.

Recruitment will be held for the posts of chef, dresser, painter and decorator, steward, ER, washerman, housekeeping and mess keeper on May 5. The aspirants should have passed SSLC with 45 per cent marks and should be between 17 and 25 years.

For the post of army tradesman the aspirant should have passed SSLC or eighth standard. All the aspirants for the posts should qualify the physical criterion required by the Indian army.

Interested may attend the rally with the academic records, 12 passport size photographs, conduct certificate and other documents. Those who are below 18 years should produce a affidavit duly attested by a notary. For more details contact 080-25006569.

Electrocuted

A teacher was electrocuted at Danagere village in Kollegal taluk on Tuesday night. The deceased is M Narendra (40). He was working at the Maruru government higher primary school. It is said that he had climbed a high tension electric pole and was electrocuted and was found hanging in the pole.

Later, the body was brought down with the help of fire personnel and police. He breathed his last enroute to hospital, it is learnt. Kollegal rural police have registered a case.
