Swagat Yadawad of Sanman Colony in Hubballi, the first rank holder in CET engineering section, wants to study BTech in computer science at IIT-Bombay or IIT-Madras.

Swagat, son of Dr Shankar Yadawad, who served at Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) and now working at RTPS Hospital in Raichur, studied from first to 10th standard at S R Bommai Rotary School at Priyadarshini Colony on Gokul Road here, and scored CGPA 10 in CBSE 10th class. He has studied 10 +2 at Guru Junior College in Hyderabad, and his score in 10 +2 was 98 per cent.

“With a focus on preparations to get a seat in IIT, I went to Hyderabad, and received coaching for IIT-JEE, from FIITJEE. As IIT-JEE is a tough exam, preparation for that helped me to perform well in CET,” Swagat says.

“After IIT-Bombay and IIT-Madras, my next preference is BITS Pillani,” he added.
