Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday termed it as misfortune to be chief minister twice in coalition governments.

"It is my misfortune to be serving as the chief minister in a coalition government for the second time. Hence, I am unable to deliver programmes as expected by the people," he rued.

Speaking during the Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers' Association programme in Bengaluru, Kumaraswamy said:"I will be able to implement my dream projects only when I become the chief minister after getting absolute majority."

Kumaraswamy launched yet another tirade against the media.

“The media is misleading people of the state by airing political dramas. It was reported that the Governor’s rule would come into effect from January 17. Media houses have been predicting downfall of the coalition government ever since its formation. It's time such predictions are stopped,” he said.
