 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was on Sunday brought down from a crowded stage over safety reasons in the state’s Chhatarpur district after cracking sounds were heard.

The incident happened in the Chhatrasal area.

As Yadav and Union minister Virendra Singh, the BJP candidate from Tikamgarh Lok Sabha seat, began to climb onto the makeshift stage and reached its edge, several people also got onto the dais.

An FIR was registered against the BJP's Hyderabad candidate K Madhavi Latha following a complaint that she hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community by gesturing to shoot an arrow towards a place of worship, police said on Sunday.

A purported video of the incident was widely circulated on social media last week.

The complaint alleged that Madhavi Latha made a gesture of drawing an arrow and shooting it at the place of worship during a Ram Navami procession on April 17, hurting the sentiments of the Muslim community, the police said.

Repolling under way at 11 polling stations in Manipur

Repolling is underway at 11 polling stations in the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency amid tight security, officials said on Monday.

The decision about fresh polling was taken following a directive from the Election Commission, which declared voting held at these stations on April 19 as null and void.

The Court while dismissing the plea imposed a cost of Rs 75,000 on the petitioner. The bench headed by the Acting Chief Justice of Delhi, while passing the order, said - this court cannot grant extraordinary interim bail in a pending criminal case initiated against a person holding high office.

Court said that someone is in custody by virtue of the judicial order of the court. The challenge is presently before the Supreme Court. He is taking steps and using remedies. Law is equal for anyone.

BJP president JP Nadda on Monday accused the Congress of indulging in the politics of vote bank and appeasement and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the culture of politics in the country with focus on development of everyone.

Addressing a rally in Lormi town of Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district, Nadda highlighted the BJP-led central government's achievements in the last 10 years.
