Aamir Khan turns 60 today, and ahead of his birthday, the Bollywood star got candid with the media. A surprise-filled interaction followed where Khan introduced his partner Gauri Spratt.
He also spoke about his son - Junaid's foray into acting, starting with how he had told his son from the get-go that this is a challenging profession, and if Khan deemed him not good after his training, he would not work with him.
However, Khan was quick to praise his son's acting as well, saying that Junaid knew how to embody the character, leaving behind the personal.
He mentioned Junaid's Maharaj, in this regard, noting how he felt his son brought the character to life.
The conversation veered towards the recent trolling Junaid has faced for his dance moves in Loveyapa, and Aamir did not hold back.
He shared how he had also gotten to know that his son was being trolled, and despite being his father, Aamir minced no words in saying 'Junaid can't dance.' The Bollywood star continued that he didn't know why Junaid danced, but also shared that his son was feeling low over how Loveyapa performed in the theatres.
Aamir also spoke about how he had started off as a shy person, which is why there were eyebrows raised when he had announced his decision to go into acting. Khan observed that his son Junaid was very much like him in this aspect.
Junaid was also under no illusions, since he told his father that he expected 'nothing less' after the tough talk from Aamir about making it on his own in Bollywood.
Apart from Junaid, Aamir has two more children -- one more with Reena Dutta, his first wife, and the other with Kiran Rao, his second wife.
