The ''vaccine web portal'' and the ''National Clinical Registry for Covid-19'' have been developed by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and was launched by Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, according to a health ministry statement.
The Opposition parties were earlier accused by the Chief Minister for staging stirs and gathering flouting Covid-19 social distance norms. Over 150 police personnel engaged for managing stirs and many party workers got infected. The BJP is also likely to keep off from stirs in view of the worsening Covid-19 scenario.
As the death count was more than 1,000 in each of the last 28 days in September, it is likely that the national toll would cross 1,00,000 by Thursday or Friday if a similar trend continues given that the toll currently is 96,000 plus.
The infections were detected during a special drive to test samples of lawmakers for Covid-19 ahead of the monsoon session of the Assembly.

"It will be important to take care of the health of chefs and other staffers in restaurants. They must wear masks, clean hands and ensure safety and cleanliness in restaurants," the chief minister said.
"There is preliminary evidence that those younger than 10 to 14 years have lower susceptibility to SARS-CoV-2 infection than adults, with adolescents appearing to have similar susceptibility to adults," the analysis said.
The state government has decided to call an all-party meeting tomorrow to discuss the Covid-19 situation in the state. The meeting will be held via video conference, said Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan
The Chief Minister said that currently, the government is not considering a complete lockdown.
"Instead, steps will be taken to strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines. All party meeting tomorrow will discuss in detail all issues regarding the increase in Covid-19 spread in the state," Vijayan added.
