It's been more than a decade since Bengaluru citizens voted to select their ward Corporator. Thanks to the Supreme Court order, the newly formed Greater Bengaluru Authority and the Karnataka State Election body are all geared up to conduct local elections by the end of June this year.
As a first step, GBA has released the draft electoral roll for citizens to check if their names are enrolled in the list.
The draft electoral rolls include 4,569,193 men, 4,320,583 women and 1,635 voters from other categories. The details are available on the official website.
Here's how to check your name in the GBA's 2026 draft electoral list:
Step 1: As seen in the screenshot (below), tap on the notification banner

Step 2: Then, you will be routed to a new webpage with options: 1) EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) number, 2) Search by Name and 3) Draft Elector Roll Polling Station Wise

Step 3: Select any of the three options and follow the on-screen instructions to see if your name is in the list.
The most effective option to quickly find your name is to select the EPIC number option. It will take a few seconds to get the details
If you don't have an EPIC number, then select the 'Search by Name' option. There, you have to fill a few details such as 1) Corporation (Bengaluru North, Bengaluru East, Bengaluru West, Bengaluru South or Bengaluru Central), 2) Ward Name, 3) first four letters of your name; 4) first four letters of father/mother/spouse (as mentioned in EPIC); 5) Age and 6) Date of Birth (Month/Date/Year format)

The third option, 'Draft Elector Roll Polling Station Wise', is quite cumbersome, as you have to know the Corporation Name (Bengaluru North or South or East or Central or West), Ward Name and Polling Station Name. And, it will provide a PDF format list and the user has to manually scroll through the pages to find their name.

If you don't find the name in the list, go to the National Voters' Service Portal (NVSP, here) and enrol the name with your registered mobile number.
Citizens can also visit the nearest municipal office or Bengaluru One centres. Based on the requirement, get Form 4 (for addition of name), Form 5 (for objections), Form 6 (for corrections), Form 7 (for change of residence) and Form 8 (for deletion of name).
Fill in the details and submit the document to the officer. Complete the process as early as possible, as GBA is expected to release the final version of electoral roll for the Bengaluru Corporation elections in mid-March.
