Chhatrapati Udayanraje Bhosale of Satara, the descendent of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and Shahu Chhatrapati of Kolhapur, a descendent of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Shrimant Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, paid glowing tributes to Pawar.

Shahu Chhatrapati’s son Yuvraj Sambhaji Chhatrapati too paid tributes to Pawar.

While Udayanraje is a BJP Rajya Sabha member, Shahu Chhatrapati is a Lok Sabha member from Kolhapur.

“This is an extremely shocking and deeply saddening incident involving Ajit Pawar. Maharashtra has lost a capable political leader. A leader who was leading Maharashtra on the path of development and empowering his workers has been snatched away from us by fate today. This is a great and irreplacable loss for the political field,” said Shahu Chhatrapati.

“In the fields of agriculture, water supply, rural development, infrastructure, industry, education, and health, Ajit Pawar’s unparalleled contributions to Maharashtra's development stand out. The decisions taken during his tenure continue to bring positive changes in the lives of lakhs of citizens even today. His bond with the people, affection towards party workers, and strong grip on administration were hallmarks of his leadership,” said Chhatrapati Udayanraje.

“Through his work, he consistently emphasised that politics is not merely a tool for power, but an effective medium for social transformation. In every action of his, the deep concern for Maharashtra, zeal for development, and spirit of public welfare were clearly evident. Under his leadership, many generations found direction in politics, social service, and administration. Today, Maharashtra has lost not just a leader, but a visionary guide, an inspiration for lakhs of workers, and the voice of the common man,” he added.

“I have always admired Ajit Pawar's work style. In matters of work, I have had the opportunity to witness up close, on numerous occasions, his decisive boldness and firm grip on administration. He never compromised in any way when it came to public welfare initiatives. Whenever there were meetings with him regarding Sarathi, the Annasaheb Patil Mahamandal, the Kolhapur Cricket Association, and Kolhapur's development projects, he never held back his hand. It was his hallmark to always give generously and to personally oversee the prompt implementation of the decisions he made,” said Yuvraj Sambhaji Chhatrapati, a former President-nominated Rajya Sabha member and founder of the Swarajya Sangathan.
