Indian contingent continued to impress in Hangzhou as India created history by bagging 100 medals at this edition of Asian Games. Women's and men's archery team won medals while the hockey team's gold headlined the day for India. In badminton, HS Prannoy signed off with silver while the star pair of Satwik-Chirag remain only a step away from gold. Kiran Bishnoi, Aman Sehrawat and Sonam won bronze medals which came as a silver lining in what was a forgettable campaign for Indian wrestlers with Bajrang Punia returning empty-handed.

Indian contingent wins unprecedented 100th medal at Asian Games with victory over Chinese Taipei in women's kabaddi final, beating Taiwan 26-24. 100th overall medal and 25th Gold medal for India at the Asian Games.

Members of Indian men's and women's Squash team welcomed at Chennai airport on their arrival from China. "We are very happy and proud to win medal for the country. We hope to take Indian Squash to greater heights in the near future," they said.
"We are very happy to be here after coming back from the Asian Games. We have won a few medals and hopefully, we will build up from here," said Squash player Dipika Pallikal.
Squash player Abhay Singh said, "I'm very happy to win the decider against Pakistan so that we could win a gold medal. Being my first Asian Games, it was really special..."

On Asian Games achievement and India's 100 medals mark, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar says "We are very proud of all our athletes. They have given a very big message to the country that sports is very important. I would like to congratulate them. Every state should encourage youngsters, we should give them proper training and provide them financial help."

The Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty downed South Korea's Korea's Choi Solgyu-Kim Wonho 21-18 21-16 to clinch a historic gold medal at the Asian Games here on Saturday.
Satwiksairaj and Chirag thus became the first-ever Indian badminton doubles pair to win the Asian Games gold medal, having eliminated former world champions Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the last-four stage.
