Like the previous years, Apple is expected to host an annual product launch event later this year, around September.

Now, reports have emerged that Apple plans to bring big upgrades to the iPhone 17 Pro successor, along with an all-new foldable iPhone.

Though the design language is likely remain almost the same as the predecessor, the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will have improved camera hardware, faster processsor and more.

9to5Mac, citing market analyst Jeff Pu, reported that the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will have 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screens. And, come with a big rectangular camera deco with three sensors and an LED flash. They will feature aerospace-grade aluminium rail around the display and mid-frame to hold internal components inside.

They feature sturdy Ceramic Shield on both the front and back panels for protection against scratches.

One noticeable change we can expect in the iPhone 18 Pro series is that the Dynamic Island on the front display will come in a smaller dimension, but with improved FaceID security features.

At the heart, the new iPhone 18 Pro models will be powered by 2nm class Apple A20 Pro silicon, a first-of-its-kind mobile chipset. It promises significant performance enhancement and battery life improvement.

Also, they will feature an 18MP front camera. And, on the back, they will sport a triple- 48MP camera with variable aperture, which promises noticeable improvements in photography experience compared to previous iterations.

Also, they will come with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, WMCM (Wafer-level Multi-Chip Module), an advanced chip packaging technology to incorporate multiple chipsets in a closed space, an all-new N2 chipset for stable wireless support for Wi-Fi 7.0, Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, C2 modem for 5G cellular.

Besides the new iPhone 18 Pro models, the Cupertino-based company will bring the iPhone Fold.

It is said to feature a notebook-style design. When closed, it will 5.3-inch cover display, and when opened, it will have a big 7.8-inch wide flexible OLED screen. The company is reportedly using Samsung's advanced foldable display tech to ensure there is no visible crease in the middle.

Also, Apple will be using aerospace-grade aluminium for the mid-frame and flat rails around the display. And, it will have high-quality titanium to hold the two folding panels in one place.'

Unlike the iPhone 18 Pro models, which feature FaceID, the iPhone Fold will bring back the Touch ID. And, it is likely to be placed on the side of each access for the thumb finger.

It will also feature WMCM (Wafer-level Multi-Chip Module), an advanced chip packaging technology to incorporate multiple chipsets in a closed space, Apple A20 Pro silicon, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, an all-new N2 chipset for stable wireless support for Wi-Fi 7.0, and Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, C2 modem for 5G cellular.

It will have an 18MP sensor on the cover display and another 18MP inside the wide-screen. As far as the primary module on the back is concerned, it will feature dual 48MP sensors with LED flash.
