Apple has released the new iOS 12.0.1 update to all the eligible iPhones worldwide.
Depending on the iPhone model, the software update size varies. It brings a lot of bug fixes to the issues, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity on iPhone 17, iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro models.
It also addresses the issues in low-light photos captured by the latest iPhone models.
Also, some older iPhone models, which got upgraded to the latest iOS 26, faced glitches in cellular network connectivity, and this will be resolved by the iOS 26.0.1 update.
Further, while customising app icons, they used to appear blank after adding a custom tint. This too has been fixed.
The new iOS 26 had also caused VoiceOver feature to get disabled on select old iPhone models. This issue is also said to be resolved with the new update.
The iOS 26.0.1 update includes one security patch that addresses an issue in the FontParser feature, which can occur when processing a maliciously crafted font in a message or email, may lead to unexpected app termination or corrupt process memory.
Apple has rolled out a similar iPadOS 26.0.1 update with bug fixes and security patches to the iPads. Users are advised to update their devices to the latest version.
