Cupertino-based technology major Apple has announced to open the registration window for school children to enrol for Swift Students Challenge early next month on February 3.

To help students and teachers know what the contest is about, Apple offers online sessions. Here, they can learn about how to register for the Swift Student Challenge and explore the elements of great apps with an Apple engineer.

Also, they get to pick up tips from former Challenge winners, and they can use them to create their own app.

Furthermore, Apple has added the latest Swift tutorials to help students get good insight into how to code and turn their ideas into a functional app.

Students with the most innovative app idea that can solve real-world problems in society with practical solutions will be selected by Apple.

The company will pick 350 Swift Student Challenge winners. Among them, 50 Distinguished Winners will receive additional recognition and be invited to Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino later this year.

In 2024, Elena Galluzzo (Canada) won the top honours. Galluzzo, who is pursuing a degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario developed an inspiring prototype app 'Care Capsule', an all-in-one assistant for elderly people.

Swift Students Challenge is scheduled to open on February 3. Interested youngsters can register at Apple's official website (here).
