Just yesterday, Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri warned about the misuse of generative Artificial Intelligence to create deepfakes on social media platforms and the need for proper regulation to curb cyber threats.

Now, Elon Musk-owned GrokAI is getting a lot of flak over blatant misuse of its tech, bringing disrepute to women on the X platform.

For the last few days, miscreants have uploading pictures of innocent people, including high-profile female actors and asking GrokAI to undress them and transform the pictures into women with skimpy attire.

This has raised huge privacy concerns over the lack of scrutiny by human editors to stop such vulgar requests of rogue X platform users.

What's more disturbing is the platform owner, Elon Musk, taking this issue very lightly and playing along with such a deplorable trend.

The photos section of the GrokAI bot on X has been flooded with such images of several unsuspecting women and while X officials seem to have finally taken note and doing some damage control, netizens have panned the platform over its lackadaisical attitude over such activities.

Social media users have also been requesting the government to take urgent measures to put in proper regulations with serious legal implications for non-conformity with the law of the land.

Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has also slammed X platform for hosting such unregulated AI bot.

Also, she has sought urgent attention and intervention of IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to take action against AI app developers guilty of creating such vile applications.

Have sought urgent attention and intervention of Hon. IT Minister to take the issue of increasing incidents of AI apps being prompted to sexualise and undress women by unauthorised use of their images on social media. There have to be guardrails put in place by features such as Grok that do not violate women’s dignity, big tech firms need to take the onus. And I wish men indulging in such behaviour were educated better at their homes & schools so as to not become such sick perverts in their adulthood.
