Google on Thursday (August 21) launched the new line of Pixel 10 series in India.
Besides a good upgrade in terms of processor and build quality, the Pixel 10 series phones come with a truckload of generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI)-powered features to deliver the best user experience on a phone.
Here are the top 10 new features coming in the Pixel 10 series:
1) All-new Gemini Nano: Developed by Google DeepMind, the new Gemini Nano gen AI model comes with powerful capabilities, which allow the digital assistant to understand complex queries and complete tasks in less time than ever before. And, unlike, Gemini Pro or Ultra language models, which require cloud server connectivity, the Nano model runs on-device and finish the job in shortest time possible.
It is ably assisted by the advanced 3nm class Google Tensor G5 silicon. It promises 34 per cent faster CPU performance and more than 60 per cent Tensor Processing Units (TPU) computing speed.

2) Magic Cue: With the Pixel 10, Google has introduced brand-new feature Magic Cue. It runs on the advanced Gemini Nano, an on-device AI model. It is designed to read all compatible apps and intuitively offer suggestions at the right time, saving users’ time and effort.
Consider a scenario that you and your friends have planned trip, but just days before the D-day, one friend messages you to make some last minute changes, and here's where Magic Cue, kicks in and will intuitively bring the trip details within the app for easy reference. It will offer phone number of the tour agency on the phone's screen within the message app to instantly make the call and change the itinerary.
3) Camera Coach: The Pixel 10 series boasts Camera Coach. It uses Gemini models to suggest ways to improve photos — like choosing different framing and composition for a shot. This will come in handy for naive phone users who are eager to improve their photography skills.

4) Voice Translation in user's voice: we have already seen the language translation capabilities in previous Pixel phones, this time, Google is bringing big upgrade. The translator app will be able to mimic translated audio in the user's voice.
Thanks to Google Tensor G5 chipset, it works on-device and translates audio in real time in what sounds like each speaker’s voice, this way the owner can connect to the other person more naturally in their language.
Voice Translate works when translating to or from English with Hindi, Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian and Indonesian. More Indian languages will be add in the coming days.
5) Camera share on Gemini Live: With this feature, Gemini can not only see what the user sees, but also provide guidance by highlighting the solution directly on the screen.
For instance, open the Gemini Live and tap camera. Then point to a math problem and ask how to solve, the digital assistant will help you with step-by-step guide and offer solution.
Further, if you are planning to clean the room, just point the Pixel 10 with Gemini Live camera on, it will help where to begin. If needed, it can even offer tips on redecorating the room as well.

6) Veo on Gemini Live: If you are planning to buy Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL or Pixel 10 Pro Fold, you are eligible for a free one- year subscription of Google AI Pro. This gives you the access to image and video generation tools like Imagen 4 and Veo 3.
With these gen AI tools, users can text prompt to images, and images to videos and more.
7) Recorder app now offers option to create Music: If you have the habit of humming or singing songs, you can record it on Pixel and be create your custom version of the music.

8) Enhanced Writing Tools in Gboard: With improved smart writing tools, users get correct word prompts, and spellcheck what you’re writing, but also offer rewrites in a specified style, like if you need your text to sound more professional or just want to find the perfect emojis to convey what you’re feeling.
9) AI-powered Pixel Journal app: Similar to Journal app on iPhone, Google is bringing Journal app to Pixel phones. It will help in improving the mental wellness of the owner. The user need not have to face any issues of writer's block. How to start journaling as such.
The Journal app uses on-device AI to give the writing prompts that help can help the user process their thoughts, and it offers insights into the patterns and progress over time. Pixel device owner can even lock the journal so everything he/she writes remains totally secure and personal.
10) Notebook LM integration with Pixel Screenshots and Recorder app: Notebook LLM is one of the most powerful gen AI model, bigger than Gemini AI LM models. It is primarily used for deep research on scientific topics and other complex subjects. It comes very handy for students and researchers in particular. If the Screenshots feature detects a picture user has taken that could be a good fit for the notebook, it will automatically suggest the owner to add it for easy tracking. Similarly, user will be able to add transcripts from Recorder to the notebook now.
