It comes with a 15-inch full HD IPS anti-glare display with a sleek form factor. It is made from eco-friendly materials including recycled plastics, glass and aluminium.

It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor with Adreno GPU capable of 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS). It is backed by 16 GB LPDDR5X, 512 GB eUFS storage and runs Windows 11 Home OS with Microsoft Copilot+ integration and also support Link to Windows (to connect with Android and iOS phones) app, Multi Control capabilities, and second screen feature, for extended productivity.

It houses a 61.2 Wh battery with 65 W USB-C charging capability. With a full charge, it can last up to 27 hours. It also features a 1080p HD web camera and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. It costs Rs 59,990.

Google Cloud India sets a Guinness World Record with the most participants in a hackathon

Google Cloud India, earlier this week, in collaboration with Hack2Skill, hosted Agentic AI Day in Bengaluru. It officially set a Guinness World Records title for the most participants in an Agentic AI hackathon.

For the first time, more than 2,000 developers across 700+ AI-first teams joined a 30-hour hackathon, with 1,941 adjudicated to break the record.

Participants worked on six real-world problem statements ranging from urban data overload to financial literacy. They showcased powerful Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) built with Vertex AI, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Firebase Studio, and Google Cloud AI Studio.

For the uninitiated, MVP in a hackathon is a basic version of a product, in this case, an application or software with enough features to be usable and improved by users over time.

The event attracted 57,000 registrations with one million-plus online impressions, and featured keynotes from Google leaders and ecosystem experts.

During the event, more than 500 prototypes were created with mentorship from 160-plus experts.

Nothing launches 'Nothing Incubator' competition for students in India

London-based technology company Nothing, earlier this week launched its first-ever student competition in India - Nothing Incubator.

“India is no longer just a growth market - it’s becoming a creative and innovation powerhouse with global impact. We see a generation that is not only tech-savvy but unafraid to challenge the norm. With the Nothing Incubator, we’re tapping into that mindset - giving young talent a platform to shape the future of technology, not just for India, but the world,” said Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President of Nothing.

Here's how the competition works:

Phase 1: Interested students have to submit ideas. They have to form a team and submit a one-slide pitch on the theme 'Making Tech Fun Again.'

Note: Only undergraduate and postgraduate students (BE/BTech, dual-degree, MBA/PGDM) can apply with a team consisting 1 to 3 members from the same college, with interdisciplinary teams encouraged.

Phase 2: Shortlisted teams build a three-year vision and go-to-market plan

Phase 3: Finalists will pitch their ideas in a live three-minute presentation to a jury of industry leaders, venture capitalists, and startup mentors

Winners will receive a Rs 2 lakh cash prize, a winner’s certificate, and the latest Nothing Phone (3). Runners-up will also take home Nothing products and certificates. Finalists showing exceptional promise may be considered for career opportunities with the company.

Vivo earlier this week launched the new mid-range phone T4R series.

It features a 6.77-inch full HD (2392 x 1080p) AMOLED quad curved display with a 19.9:9 aspect ratio screen and offers up to 1800 nits peak brightness.

The device's display is protected by SCHOTT Xensation α glass shield and comes with IP68 + IP69 ratings, MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability rating.

It also features dual-SIM slots, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a Type-C USB port, and stereo speakers.

It comes with a 4nm class MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15, 8GB / 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,700mAh battery with a 44W charger.

It comes dual-camera module-- a main 50MP camera (with Sony IMX882 sensor, f/1.79 aperture) with a 2MP sensor (with Galaxycore GC02M1 sensor with f/2.4) with Aura LED light flash on the back.

It also features a 32MP ( with Galaxycore GC32E1 sensor, f/2.45) front camera. Both the primary and front camera will be able to record 4K videos at 30 fps (frames per second).

The Vivo phone comes in two colours--artic white and Twilight Blue. It will be available in three configurations-- 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage-- for Rs 19,499, Rs 21,499 and Rs 23,499, respectively.

Samsung kicks off Big Bespoke AI Fest in India

Ahead of Independence Day, Samsung has kicked off Big Bespoke AI Fest with lucrative offers on home appliances in India.

It is offering Rs 50,000 cashback on the newly launched 25kg Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, a fully automatic washer-dryer built for larger Indian households.

Samsung is also offering Rs 20,000 cashback on its flagship French Door Refrigerator with Family Hub, which brings personalised food management, entertainment, and connectivity into the heart of the kitchen.

The wider range of Bespoke AI appliances also comes with discounts up to Rs 20,000 on Side-by-Side Refrigerators, up to Rs 10,000 on Front Load Washing Machines, up to Rs 4,500 on Top Load models, and up to Rs 7,000 on Frost Free Refrigerators.

Consumers can also avail lucrative finance options with zero down payment and consumers can also avail a special ‘1 EMI off’ benefit on select refrigerators and washing machines under Samsung’s 20/5 finance scheme. The scheme allows buyers to pay over 20 months with no-cost EMIs, while Samsung covers the first EMI, making the upgrade easier and more affordable.

Samsung is offering warranties on its digital appliances. These include a 20-year warranty on the Digital Inverter Compressor in refrigerators and Digital Inverter Motor in washing machines, a 10-year warranty on the Ceramic Enamel Cavity in microwaves, and a 5-year comprehensive warranty on select air conditioners.

In addition, Samsung is offering free professional installation on 5-Star-rated Bespoke AI WindFree ACs.

It sports a 16-inch WUXGA (1920x1200) IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, featuring 100% sRGB colour accuracy, and up to 180Hz refresh rate.

The device comes with a pearl white-hued chassis, distinctive Nitro branding, and a built-in webcam with a privacy shutter.

It houses a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13620H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, which is more than enough to handle fast-paced gaming, multitasking, and AI features.

It supports DLSS 3, ray tracing, and the MUX switch, which provides smoother gameplay and stunning visuals. The device supports up to 24GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.

Nitro Lite 16 features a white backlit keyboard with highlighted WASD keys for quick response during intense sessions. It boasts of dedicated Copilot key, which offers instant access to AI tools within Windows 11 OS. And, it houses 53Wh battery and supports a 100W USB-C power charger.

Samsung launches the third edition of Walk-a-thon India

The registrations for the Walk-a-thon have begun, and the challenge will run from August 1 to August 30, 2025, and is open exclusively to users across India. Participants just have to opt in and complete 200,000 steps within the 30-day period to qualify for exciting rewards.

All finishers will be eligible for assured prizes. Three lucky winners will win the Galaxy Watch8, while the rest of the finishers will receive discount coupons worth up to Rs 15,000 on the all-new Galaxy Watch8.

Here's how to participate Walk-a-thon:

The 30-day steps challenge is exclusively on the Samsung Health app, which is available on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Participants can monitor their progress through a real-time leaderboard within the Samsung Health app, allowing them to compare their performance and stay motivated throughout the challenge.

To qualify and be eligible for prizes, participants are required to complete a minimum of 200,000 steps over the 30-day duration. After completing the challenge, the finishers need to visit the Samsung Members app between September 5 to September 30, 2025, to claim their reward.
