Like the previous product launch, the London-based company has come up with a creative way of offering a sneak peek at the new Phone (3a) series. It has used NEO Gamma, a humanoid robot developed by Norwegian firm 1x to unbox the device's retail package.

The robot like a factory plant worker in a white coat attire comes near the table to reveal the new device. It took selfies and tested the primary camera's capabilities, but stopped short of revealing how the pictures looked.

For the past couple of weeks, Carl Pei-led company has been teasing the new phone and raving about how good the new camera will be.

Last week, Nothing confirmed that the new Phone (3a) series will come with a triple camera module with a 50MP main camera and Periscope lens. With this, the device will be able to support 3x optical zoom with lossless quality photos.

Also, it can do 6x in-sensor zoom, and up to 60x ultra zoom. This can come in handy to capture photos of big statues or landmarks from far way distance.

The 50MP main sensor is capable of absorbing 64 per cent more light at a pixel level meaning it has a 300 per cent greater full well capacity compared to the Phone (2a). All of this enables more depth and clarity.

All the camera sensors support Ultra HDR photo output and the main and front support 4K video recording with stable footage and night enhancement.

The Phone (3a) will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon silicon instead of the MediaTek chipset, which was used in the predecessor.

The upcoming device will also feature a bigger 6.88-inch full HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a triple-camera module, compared to the dual sensors in the Phone (2a) series. It will feature a 5,000mAh battery and be offered in two variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

The new device is expected to come with two variants-- Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus.
