With less than a week left before the OnePlus global hardware event, a report has emerged that the company is working on the OnePlus Watch 2 successor.
Keen-eyed folks at Android Authority, while reading through the programme code of OHealth, the official smartwatch app for OnePlus and Oppo phones, detected several unreleased product names-- OnePlus Watch 3, Watch 3 Pro, Watch X2, and X2 Pro. The latter two are said to be Oppo's rebranded versions of sister firm OnePlus Watch 3 and 3 Pro.
Besides the names, Android Authority found several crucial details of upcoming devices.
Like the Apple Watches, OnePlus is planning to introduce state-of-the-art health tracking features such as ECG (Electrocardiogram) to detect Atrial Fibrillation (AFib).
It will also be able to monitor wrist temperature, which will come in handy in tracking women's menstrual cycle.
Further, it is said come with '60-second Checkup" feature will provide a quick health assessment based on seven key parameters including blood-oxygen saturation, sleep pattern (minimum five days recording), arterial stiffness, ECG, mental wellness, wrist temperature, and more.
Also, it will be able to offer long-term health insight about the body's fitness and health based on daily activities, number of hours of sleep and physical exercise.
Both the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro will run on Google's WearOS-based operating system.
OnePlus Watch 3 series is unlikely to be launched next week with OnePlus 13 series. It is expected to make its debut a few months later in the year.
