With more than 2.5 billion active users, WhatsApp is the most popular messenger app on all major platforms. However, it faces a stiff competition with Telegram, Signal and other rival apps. To keep the subscribers hooked to its app, the Meta-owned entity regularly rolls out new features to enhance the user experience.

It recently released new camera effects, filters, custom background and in-app document scanner. Now, WhatsApp has introduced new feature ‘Accounts Center’ to share Stories on multiple platforms.

With a dedicated ‘Accounts Center’, WhatsApp users will be able to share their status updates as Stories on Instagram and Facebook platforms in one go.

This is a very handy feature. It’ll be easier to reshare updates from WhatsApp Status to Facebook or Instagram Stories and show friends and family members what’s happening in life without having to post multiple times.

WhatsApp Status can now be shared on Instagram, Facebook.

To add the WhatsApp account to Accounts Center and enable connected experiences, the user needs to add it with an existing Facebook or Instagram account.

Users can view which accounts are in the same Accounts Center by going to the WhatsApp Settings > Accounts Center.

This feature is rolling out gradually and may not be available to you yet. In the meantime, we recommend keeping WhatsApp updated on your device so you can get the feature as soon as it's available.

In a related development, WhatsApp is testing new feature that lets users add music to their status updates, which contain images and videos.

When using the drawing tool to create the status update, it will offer a dedicated music button. Like on Instagram, users can select their favourite music tune or song and make the status update more lively.
