<p>After the urban development department failed to file an affidavit that no other record — apart from which already exists before the Lokayukta — in relation to the decision making process regarding the issuance of Provisional Regularisation Certificate (PRCs) in respect of some unauthorised colonies exists in the department, Delhi Lokayukta on Monday ordered for the presence of principal secretary (UD) before it on the next date.<br /> <br />But the officer’s presence could be excused if the department gives the affidavit before the next date, May 1.<br /><br />Delhi Lokayukta Manmohan Sarin is hearing into a complaint filed by Arun Rai and others about a piece of land in village Jasola, which was shown as an unauthorised colony by some people, leading to issuance of a PRC to it by Delhi government. <br /><br />While the Lokayukta office was given the report about the existing status of the land, the forum wanted to confirm with the UD department whether there was any other record kept by it about issuing PRCs. The forum has demanded an affidavit from the UD in this regard. But when the UD department failed to give the affidavit on Tuesday and excused himself saying he would have to ask senior officials, Lokayukta ordered the presence of Principal Secretary himself on the next date.<br /></p>
