<p>Three persons, including a 40-year-old woman, have been arrested for alleged involvement in an inter-state human trafficking racket. An abducted woman has also been rescued from the gang, police said on Saturday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Kamla, Jeet Ram, 54, and Rajbir, 32, were held after a complaint on June 5 that 42-year-old home nurse Guddi (name changed) had been missing from her Mangolpuri residence since April 20.<br /><br />Complainant Manoj – Guddi’s son – told police that he suspected Kamla’s involvement in his mother’s abduction.<br /><br />“We then interrogated Kamla during which a horrible story of human trafficking came out,” said B S Jaiswal, deputy commissioner of police (outer). Kamla told police that on April 20, she and a man named Vijay had asked Guddi to accompany them to work at a house in Haryana’s Palwal district for two days.<br /><br />Guddi agreed to accompany them and went to Palwal, where they stayed at Jeet’s house. However, on April 21, Jeet sold Guddi for Rs 30,000 to Rajbir.<br /><br />Kamla was arrested after her confession and a raid was immediately conducted at Rajbir’s house in Uttar Pradesh’s Rajapur village. “Guddi was rescued from the house, while Rajbir was arrested,” Jaiswal added.<br /><br />Guddi told police that Rajbir, who works in Ghaziabad, used to rape her and keep her locked in the house.<br /><br />“Jeet was arrested at his Palwal house on Saturday, but Vijay is still absconding. Jeet has confessed his involvement in the crime. Further interrogation is under progress,” Jaiswal said.<br /><br />A case was lodged against Kamla, Jeet and Rajbir at Mangolpuri police station after Guddi was medically examined. They face charges of kidnapping, keeping in confinement, rape and criminal intimidation.<br /></p>
